I grew up in a small town in East Texas. I've played softball since 2nd grade. I have an older brother who is a Marine. And my mom raised us as a single mom and nurse. I have always played as many sports as I could until I broke my knee 2 years ago. I had 2 major reconstructive surgeries and learned to walk and run again twice! I worked hard to get back to top shape so I could play college softball. It's been my goal since 7th grade and UNT was always my too choice to play at. I'm so blessed to be able to play and so excited to play at UNT! After 2 plus years of physical therapy, I want to go to PT school and be able to give back to young athletes like was done for me. There were lots of days I wanted to give up because it hurt so bad, but my therapist and sports trainers never let me! They were so important to my recovery and my mental well being along with my family and friends. They inspired me and I just want to give that back!
